The evolution of the Hybrids.

These are modular titanium beads, darkened with our new “moonshine” wash. At this time, five different sets are available. The component pieces in each set be mixed and matched to create one or more “builds”, resembling many of our popular bead designs, past and present, as well as many more we haven’t even cooked up yet. Each set comes complete with brass and stainless steel “middle managers”, which accent the sets and allow customization of weight and appearance.

Details of the sets are as follows:

• Titan build (8pcs): A tribute to the original, but with a feel unlike any of the existing Titan sets. Titanium only, 7.0g per end.. up to 13.1g per end with middle management. [beta launch price of $50 (reg $60)]

• Everyman build (8pcs): The spittin’ image of the bronze Emans, very slightly smaller than the originals. Titanium only, 5.8g per end and very short.. up to 11.9g per end with middle management. [beta launch price of $50 (reg $60)]

• Boss build (8pcs): Inspired by Aroundsquare’s original “Lil Boss” begleri. Titanium only, 6.0g per end.. up to 12.1g per end with middle management. [beta launch price of $50 (reg $60)]

• Greys build (12pcs): With two domed beads, three types of cones, and four middle managers, many configurations are possible. Depending on preferences, two separate sets can be made simultaneously with the included pieces. Wide range of weights possible, from under 5g to around 12g per end. • Slaytacular: Includes two of each available piece, plus an additional two dome beads. Depending on preferences, three separate sets can be made simultaneously with the included pieces. Wide range of possibilities for weight and shape. [beta launch price of $110 (reg $150)]

Bead details:

• Domes: 3.0g, gr5 titanium

• Half standards: Hydra-sized, 4.0g, gr5 titanium

• 30 degree cone: 1.7g, gr5 titanium

• 45 degree cone: 2.6g, gr5 titanium

• Recessed cone: 3.0g, gr5 titanium

• Middle management: brass (3.2g); stainless steel (2.9g)

Known issues:

• The rounding of the beads is less than would be ideal. The edges are not sharp, but players who are attuned will note that they are not as cushy as the rounding on most AO2 beads.

• The recess on recessed cone bead is quite tight. A knot will not rest fully inside, but a melted stopper will.
